The Community Counseling Center of Madison, Wisconsin, Inc. provides professional counseling by trained and skilled social workers, counselors, and licensed psychologists. The clinic is licensed by the State of Wisconsin (as an outpatient mental health clinic) and has been serving the community since 1975.
The Community Counseling Center of Madison provides free initial half-hour visits in order for the patient to screen and interview therapists. This is very important to the director and we feel this encourages trust and empowerment. A 24-hour answering service is available to make our therapists accessible.
Please note: if you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room!
Our counselors treat a variety of situations and problems varying in degree from mild to severe. Since the State of Wisconsin mandates insurance coverage for outpatient counseling, a person's health insurance policy will likely cover the charges. See our list below of insurances we accept. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss your coverage and benefits so you know if counseling is indeed covered. We offer a variety of specialties including services for people suffering from anxiety, depression, eating disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse, marriage and/or family problems, child/adolescent problems, suicide concerns, addictions/compulsions, disability adjustment/management, and sexual or gender concerns. We have a staff of professionally qualified and experienced mental health practitioners who are also caring and giving people.
